RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The CAD/BIM operator will work under the supervision of senior design engineers and will be responsible for:

• Setting up drawings

• Developing the drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit

• Executing daily tasks in a timely manner to meet project/daily deadlines

 

Roles and Responsibilities include:

 

• Conforming to company standards (AutoCAD/Revit, network)

• Update project drawing data base with AutoCAD/Revit backgrounds received from other consultants

• Execute redlines from engineering team

• Prepare final project drawings, collated by discipline, in pdf format if required

• Must have excellent computer (Microsoft - Word, Excel, etc.), mathematical and communication skills

• Must be able to work with others and accept direction from various senior personnel

• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and be responsible for meeting deadlines, including working necessary hours to meet deliverables deadline.

• Able to understand floor plans and general knowledge of building systems

• Must have working knowledge of English language and the ability to speak and write English with technical terms.

• Travel to project sites, via car/plane/train as required to complete tasks

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

• Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of work assigned.

• Works under close supervision. 

• Work is regularly reviewed for accuracy, adequacy and conformance with prescribed procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Technical School diploma or College diploma

• Must have minimum 5-7 years of experience in CAD/Revit
